boat ramp
Come and help remove exotic invasive vegetation, cleanup and
restore islands used for recreation. Stay for a hot dog B-B-Q
after restoration activities are completed!!

IR36 - Maintain walking trail, haul felled Australian pine
logs to campsites, install eight educational plant signs along
the trail, replace paper kiosk /Adoption Program signage with
metal signs, monitor mangrove planting area. Stake down gumbo
limbos. Meet at Indian Riverside Park at 8:00 am.
November 15, 2008
SL3 – Remove non-native vegetation (Australian pine,
Brazilian pepper,
and carrotwood) along the island fringe using chainsaws and
loppers. Replace paper kiosk /Adoption Program signage with
metal signs.
Monitor mangrove planting area. Meet at Round Island Park
(lagoonside) at 8:00 am.
December 20, 2008
IR36 – Plant and water native vegetation donated by
Graves Brothers, nursery, cut internal stumps, maintain walking
trail. Monitor mangrove planting area. install eight educational
plant signs. Meet at Indian
Riverside Park at 8:00 am.
January 17, 2009
SL3 – Improvement of the islands east camp site –
replace/repair picnic
table and clear non-native vegetation. Meet at Round Island
Park (lagoon-side) at 8:00 am.
February 21, 2009
IR36 – Plant and water native vegetation donated by
Graves Brothers
nursery, cut internal stumps, maintain walking trail. Meet
at Indian Riverside Park at 8:00 am.
March 21, 2009
SL3 – Remove non-native vegetation (Australian pine,

Volunteer Appreciation Day Picnic held on IR36. Meet at the
Indian
Riverside Park boat ramp at 10:00 and we will have you back
by 2:00
